We went up to Lake Burton last weekend for the first time this year. The weather was a bit chilly, but Sunday was BEAUTIFUL with clear blue skies and sunshine. The kids wore their life jackets without any complaints.... quite a change from last year!
We took the boat to Anchorage and listened to the kids beg for popsicles... given they were fully clothed and it was too cold to dip them into the lake as the popsicles melted all over them we opted for lollipops. They seemed to do the trick.
Looking forward to our weekends at the lake this summer. It was pretty much impossible to keep Walter out of the water already, I have a feeling he'll be quite the fish as the weather warms up!
